The all-women string ensemble, The Devonshire Players, enchanted the audience at the Ossie Davis Theater in the New Rochelle Public Library Saturday with a set of diverse musical selections. The quartet is comprised of two violinists, Melissa Macy and Sasha Korczynski, violist Lakshmi Thorne and cellist Jessica Elkhatib.
“I was very pleased that from our first conversation I knew that I did not have to worry about them playing beautiful music. They are very experienced and the owner was able to guide me through selecting the right song for each part of the ceremony. All my guests kept telling me how cool they thought the idea of a string quartet was and the fact that they are all women really rocks!”
